If you missed the first issue like I did, that’s okay. We get the “Previously in…” bit on page three and it drops you nicely into the story without skipping a beat. If you’re thinking that it’s going to be terrible because Joss Whedon didn’t write it, then you’d be mistaken. Chris Roberson (iZombie) does a fantastic job capturing the nuances of each character in the vernacular used by Whedon in the series. This story is one that I can see playing on screen with no problems.

The background art is simplistic in nature with the muted colors that fans of “Firefly” know so well. The art works for this series because it’s not bogged down in the larger details of the…
